It has been a summer of heat and dust and wet – torrential wet – almost kind of tropical wet. But before we move into autumn take some time to appreciate the season we are moving into: the bitter-sweet, in-between season of Late Summer.
Summer is the season of the open, compassionate, expressive heart: the hand that extends in friendship, support and creativity; the voice that communicates ideas and feelings or carols in joy and laughter. This season of fire is peaking, expanding to its limits, and our sensibilities are shifting and grounding.
Late Summer is a time to re-balance, centre and ground your energy; time to pull in the harvest and stabilize the way in which you nourish yourself. In so doing, you build your sense of contentment and security into a solid core that allows you to be open to what is in front of you, to adapt and to move forward.
