One objective of Fire yoga is opening and strengthening the Heart In moving out of summer it’s important to maintain this as we re-assert our grounded equilibrium (Spleen) and open fully through the front body (Stomach). Ustrasana, Camel pose, is excellent for this. It extends the full length of the Stomach meridian and lifts the Heart from the thoracic spine through to the sternum. If you can place your palms over your heels and reach your fingertips into the “palm” of your feet, connecting with your plantar Heart zones, the circle is completed. I found this picture with an excellent set of instructions and contraindications at http://www.yogaoutlet.com/guides/how-to-do-camel-pose-in-yoga
